With 1/3 less chlorides, it is safer for pets, people, and environment. Extreme 8300 represents the overall best performing product in the Safe Step line. Professional strength melting power. Melts ice down to -15 degrees Fahrenheit/-26 degrees Celsius. Unique ice-penetrating shape provides rapid melting capabilities and scatter control. Safer when used as directed on air-entrained, cold-weather concrete that is at least 1 year old. Less corrosive on metal surfaces. Water can be added to make liquid ice melter pre-treatment and dust control. United States EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Design for the Environment certified. Use 1 cup (10 ounces) of ice melt per square yard and spread evenly, avoiding piling or overspreading. Remove resulting slush. Reapply ice melt as needed.
