Scarce Miller Studio Chalkware Swans with Lotus - Vintage Wall decor dated 1989.
A graceful duo that captures the elegance of 1980s chalkware artistry.
Arched-neck swans in a warm bronze/gold finish, on lotus pads with layered petals and leaves.
Full 3D sculpting.
This is a rare chalkware set for two reasons - a scarce design and artisan initialed.
These swans with lotus bases are a scarce design style from Miller Studio and are rarely seen online.
Another unusual thing about these pieces is that they are personalized with hand-engraved initials above the Miller Studio mark. The initials were carved into the chalkware before factory painting. I've not seen this on other Miller pieces nor have I seen anyone describe this before.
Each piece measures about 5.5 inches tall – perfect scale for small spaces or wall groupings
