A novel material concept makes this hybrid hard shell jacket unbelievably light, highly breathable and very abrasion-proof. Exposed areas such as the hood, shoulders and upper arms are reinforced with a 3-layer material. The 2.5-layer material on the rest of the body saves weight and allows high vapor permeability. Despite its minimalist design, the Nordwand Light offers an impressive array of practical features. It has an adjustable helmet-compatible hood. A 2-way zipper allows easy access to a climbing harness. It can be easily compressed for storage in a separate stow bag with loops to attach to a climbing harness. Like all Nordwand hard shell jackets, its revolutionary tailoring concept allows amazing freedom of movement for climbing. Developed together with the MAMMUT Pro Team Athletes.
