The LC131 lock case's deadlocking is managed by a snib with three positions, the top two being identical. In these positions, the door automatically deadlocks upon closure and can be opened via a key or thumbturn. In the lowest position, the latchbolt remains locked inside the case. We advise installing the most frequently used cylinder in the top slot, as the bottom slot will be upside down due to the case's construction. This lock can accommodate a thumbturn, one-sided, or double-sided cylinder.
