A frequent request we've received is for brass wire that matches the varied tones of antique gold and brass findings. Unlike solid-colored wires, our findings have highlights and lowlights. We're excited to introduce this Oxidized Brass Wire, identical to what we use for our premium jump rings and findings. We begin with solid, rich low brass wire, coil and clean it, then hand-oxidize it. We offer two general levels of oxidizing: medium and dark. Medium oxidizing results in varying gold shades, potentially with red and brown hues, while dark oxidizing yields pale yellow, grey, and black tones. The wire continues to oxidize when exposed to air and may lose some dark tones during use. You can choose to seal it or use our Synthetic Steel Wool to add highlights.
