DIN 6923 flange nuts are used where a particularly secure hold is necessary, e.g. for wheel bolts, exhaust suspensions or adapter plates. The hexagonal nuts without ribs have no locking teeth, which would provide an additional locking effect. The material V2A stainless steel (also known as AISI 304 or 1.4301) offers good corrosion resistance and is therefore good for applications where the screws are exposed to moisture or other environmental influences.
