The EP006G is a machine tap for threading metric coarse 6G threads in a great many materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steels. It is manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization and made from powder metal High Speed cobalt, giving superior performance and extended tool life. The bright finish helps prevent workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool, so you get a better, more accurate finish to the thread. With a spiral point, the EP006G is designed to thread holes which go all the way through the workpiece.
