A serial RS232 interface is now no longer available on newer hardware, thanks to the DIGITUS USB Type-C serial adapter, the data exchange between a USB Type-C port on the computer and peripherals with serial interface (COM port, RS232), such as E.B.WetWetterstations, sensors, machine controls, set-top boxes, game consoles, PDAs, scanners, modems, ISDN adapters and many other peripherals. The USB Type-C Serial Adapter is backwards compatible with USB1.1 and allows customisable baud rates between 75 bit and 128,000 bits per second. Thanks to the individually configurable FTDI chipset, compatibility of all common operating systems is offered, also supports power management and remote wake up.
