The DeckWise Cleaner Part 1 is a concentrated powder that is formulated specially to cleanse exterior wooden decks, wood fences, patios, terraces, log homes, and other outdoor wood structures. These 32 oz. containers pack a big punch, making 10-gallons of solution covering approximately 600 square feet. DeckWise wood cleaner removes mold and mildew, is biodegradable, easy to handle and safe. Simply follow label instructions to mix the concentrate with hot water in a 5-gallon bucket; wet the wood surface with a garden hose; brush on the cleaner; let stand for approximately 5 minutes and then scrub the wood surface with a push broom or brush. Allow the product to work for 20 minutes and then rinse with clean water. Cleaning a deck has never been easier. Note: Tougher jobs may require multiple cleanings or a stronger mix, so the coverage may vary. Additionally, an important step is to restore the PH of the wood after cleaning with the DeckWise Brightener Part 2. This wood brightener brightens up to 600 square feet of wood surface per 32 oz. jar of concentrate. One container makes up to 10-gallons of brightening solution. Stronger mix ratios can be used on tougher jobs but will result in lower coverage rates. This wood brightener removes tannin stains that are susceptible to extractive bleeding, such as cedar and redwoods. Tannins are naturally occurring in some woods and appear as a dark discoloration when the wood has been exposed to moisture. The same as the cleaner, follow brightener label instructions to mix the concentrate with hot water in a 5-gallon bucket; wet the wood surface with a garden hose; brush on the brightener; let stand for approximately 5 minutes and then scrub the wood surface with a push broom or brush.
