Detailed package art by Raph Lomotan. DINOSAUR FACTS: Length: up to 2.6m (8.5 ft) estimated. Weight: 78kg (172 lb). Location: Cedar Mountain Formation, Utah. Time: period: 96.4 Ma Late Cretaceous. Named by: Zanno et al., 2019. The earliest known north American Tyrannosaurid by 15 million years, Moros was a much smaller ancestor to the titanic predators that would come later in the Cretaceous. Known only from a few teeth and partial leg and foot bones, its sole specimen is said to be a sub-adult, leaving the adult size of this dinosaur a mystery. Its name 'Moros'; comes from the Greek term for doom, a reference to the dominant legacy of its Tyrannosaur descendants.
