The jars are delivered with the original Blueseal lids, which are made in Germany. The lids are plasticiser-free and PVC-free. They are suitable for cold filling at approx. 60 - 80 °C (not suitable for pasteurising, sterilising the so-called preserving in the pot or oven). Since the plastic used for this purpose, thermoplastic polyolefins (TPE) is harder at room temperature than ordinary plastics, the lids should also only be processed at temperatures of 60 - 80 °C. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to pre-heat the caps in hot water. The transparent glass jars with their airtight closure are ideal for storing baby food, baby porridge, oil-containing food, jams etc. In addition, the small preserving jars are suitable for storing pestos, salts, sausage and much more.
