The Amtrol mixer valve is constructed with a temperature adjustment handle for quick and easy change of the temperature of the mixed water. One turn of the handle adjusts the temperature over a range of about 110°C to 170°C. A position that prevents descaling water from reaching the outlet device is most desirable – around 120°C is satisfactory for most hot water uses other than dish washing machines and laundry machines.
